Forged round steel is round steel that has been forged according to process requirements. The specifications can generally reach a diameter of 1500mm domestically. Forged materials are formed by impact force, making them suitable for small components or special-shaped steel processing. Round steel refers to solid long steel bars with a circular cross-section. Its specifications are expressed in millimeters of diameter, such as "50" indicating round steel with a diameter of 50 millimeters. Round steel is divided into three types: hot-rolled, forged, and cold-drawn. The specifications for hot-rolled round steel range from 5.5 to 250 millimeters. Among them, small round steel with diameters of 5.5-25 millimeters is mostly supplied in straight bundles and is commonly used as reinforcement bars, bolts, and various mechanical parts; round steel larger than 25 millimeters is mainly used for manufacturing mechanical parts or as raw material for seamless steel pipes. The differences between round steel and other steel bars: 1. Appearance is different; round steel has a smooth, round appearance with no patterns or ribs, while other steel bars have patterns or ribs on their surface. This results in lower bonding strength between round steel and concrete, whereas other steel bars have higher bonding strength with concrete. 2. Composition is different; round steel (grade one steel) belongs to ordinary low-carbon steel, while other steel bars are mostly alloy steel. 3. Strength is different. Round steel has lower strength, while other steel bars have higher strength. That is, compared to other steel bars of the same diameter, round steel can withstand less tensile force, but round steel has greater plasticity than other steel bars.
